Some of Stephanie’s work in Piha on Canvas
Fantastic images by Stephanie at the Gallery in her new Piha on Canvas show. By Friday afternoon three had already sold and I must confess I too succombed to their charms. Stephanie has a real eye for the quirky little images that make Piha special, as well as the larger landscapes, not the usual full frontal Lion Rocks, but unusual angles, such as the view of fallen rock off Taitomo Island.
Her smaller works are like little icons – loved the stern of one of Piha’s Big Boats.
Very reasonably priced works from a local artist who is able to capture Piha’s sense of place very well. The show is open till 20 February.
