A beautiful sunny pre-summer’s day – Sunday 30 October – and the surfers came pouring in from 7 am. North Piha was the destination for many where perfect waves were peeling off Te Waha Point. As the day went on, picnickers turned up and the bikinis came out – a fabulous taste of the summer soon to come.
