For the view to die for, Piha surf club has no peer. Nothing beats a cold wine at the end of a hot summer day while watching one of Piha’s glorious sunsets. The Piha club has a large dining room and bar, but that end-of-day golden glow always lures the patrons to the deck to watch for the green flash. The dining room has recently been flashed up, and now has about six comfortable booths, while the rest of the room has tables and chairs. There is a blackboard menu with changing fare: fish, steak and an Italian seafood stew, bursting with mussels, prawns and fresh fish.
