Yet again a marvellous evening (5 October) of Jam Night music at the Bowler, with yet more Piha talent turning up. Photos below show regulars George Thomson and crew, Sean Pont providing some great vocals with late-night arrivals, Gavin Dowling (Dirty Sweets and Confessor) and Sandy Henderson (http://www.reverbnation.com/sangrooves). Camera crapped out so lost photos of Fran Kora who joined them in some high-quality music. Fran is a member of the electronic music collective Kora with 3 more Kora brothers. They’re about to release “Light Years” (26 October) and are lined up for an Australian tour (listen to Kora here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rUGZd3W77c).

Jam Night is my favourite end of the week wind-down, and it was terrific to see more Piha locals enjoying the very good food and the music. Tonight, 6 October, join Aussie Mike Murane and some mystery artists for another memorable night of music.
