It’s wild and windy weather at Piha, and it’s hard to imagine anyone being brave enough to swim, but it is the start of the club seaso, so here’s some news.

Not long now till we kick off the 2012/2013 season with B Patrol leading the charge on Saturday, followed by C Patrol on Sunday and A Patrol on Monday. Guards will be on duty from 11am till 4pm but longer if the need is there. Your patrol captain will have given you the dates for when you are rostered on. If in doubt check with your PC. If you are unsure which patrol you are on, please email  info@pihaslsc.com and we can sort it out.We are patrolling up until the 7th April, then one last patrol on Anzac Day.

After a very successful Junior Registration Day and Refresher last Sunday, we look forward to seeing some new faces around on the beach this season.

The bar and kitchen will be open this coming weekend for current members. We will be open over Labour Weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm. We wont be open on Monday then open again from the 2nd November on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 4pm until Xmas. Opening times will be reviewed at this point.

Congratulations to 3 of our members who are finalists in the Waitakere Sporting Excellence Awards.This is a huge achievement to have 3 of our clubbies as Finalists in these prestigous awards.
