Local and Sports Parks West report:

Maintenance is required along Marine Parade South to remove sand from the car parks and existing pedestrian walkways down to the beach.  Local and Sports Parks West will be working with Auckland Transport to undertake these works.  Works are planned for the 19 and 20 December 2011 subject to weather conditions. 

As this work is large scale maintenance works we will be putting up information along the beach this week to inform the community of the works.  We will also be informing residents along Marine Parade South who could be affected by the works as well as other stakeholders.  A copy of this information flyer is attached. 12-12-2011 FLYER Marine Parade South Dune Maintenance

 Please note that this maintenance work has been carried out previously.  Stakeholders are aware that ongoing maintenance of this area would be carried out as required.
