The Waitakere Ranges Local Board has allocated some of its discretionary funds to projects at Piha.

$50,000 Opex has been allocated to the joint Piha Tennis Club/Piha Bowling Club rebuild of combined premises to be located between the two clubs on areas they lease in Piha Domain. The existing Bowling Club building will be demolished so that there is no more building footprint on the Domain than currently. The new building will house offices, equipment, restaurant and bar. Plans were displayed at the parks/transport Open Day on 1 October.

Also allocated was $20,000 Capex towards a basketball halfcourt on the Domain, sought by Piha Kids Charitable Trust. The location for this is not decided and there will be consultation with the community by the Board.
