Logan Adams and Kris O’Neill of Piha SLSC have just won the BP Surf Rescue of the Year Award for the rescue of  four Asian tourists near Lion Rock on February 10.

At the end of the patrol, in the glare of the dying sun, they spotted dark heads out by Lion Rock. They swam out and supported the men until they could be picked up by an IRB.
