On Saturday 25 August 1-3pm at Piha Surf Club, Waitakere Ranges Local Board is holding a day to discuss a number of environmental issues at Piha.

• Discuss the draft Piha South Road Reserve Dune Management Plan by Jim Dahm of Eco Nomos who has developed this plan for the Auckland Council. A couple of years back, there were two workshops to discuss the dunes under the old Waitakere City Council. This is the follow-up. This workshop will discuss Jim’s report which makes a number of recommendations for the future management of the piha beachfront dunes – this workshop is for all interested people. • Ongoing management of Wekatahi and Marawhara Streams
