Piha’s Elliot Paerata-Reid was first in the under-16 boys over the weekend, at the second round of the Billabong Grom at Whangamata. Elliot achieved 12.3 points, ahead of Dune Kennings and Jordan Griffin. Elliot was also winner in Round 1.

Event 3 of the Billabong series will be held at Piha on 10-11 March.
